Olga Iakovlevskaya founded Global Events (Artgroup International), a non-profit organisation, in Antwerp in 1995. Global Events serves as a platform for cultural, educational, and social projects that contribute to strengthening and developing relations between Europe, Belgium, and Russia, with a particular focus on the sister cities of Antwerp and Saint Petersburg.

Between its inception and 2008, more than 40 projects were presented. Each project brought together talented and creative professionals, united by a shared vision, a common concept, and the capability to bring these ideas to life.

One of the most notable projects was the "Days of Belgium in Russia", held in Moscow (2001), Nizhny Novgorod (2007), and Sochi (2008). This large-scale initiative brought together representatives from business, politics, culture, and education, becoming an important platform for constructive dialogue and fostering a favorable investment climate.
