Olga Iakovlevskaya created Global Events, a non-profit organization in Antwerp in 1995. Global Events is a platform that works with cultural, educational and social projects, that contribute to the strengthening and development of the relations between Europe, Belgium and Russia, specifically between the town twinning, Antwerp and Saint Petersburg. Over the years and until 2008, more then 40 projects have been presented. Each project was a union of talented and creative people, professionals united by one idea, concept and the possession of the ability for its implementation.
